I know there was tremendous debate over the knockdown in the second tunney Dempsey fight but I was amazed at the quickness and power of the combination that Jack threw after being outboxed earlier in that fight and beat up in the first fight. Has anyone seen footage of the sharky knockout?

Of course. Dempsey hit Sharkey while he was complaining to the referee. Nothing illegal about it. Sharkey should have protected himself at all times instead of squalling. Dempsey required very little space to throw a KO blow. This is because Dempsey had tremendous punching technique.

fact remains if they agreed that they would go into their neutral corner and dempsey just forgot what more can you say? in todays world he would have had the same issue for not getting back. Either way that was an incredible fight.

Yes the controversy has been beat to death. I guess my point was even at this latter state in his career jack was extremely lethal against men who helps held the title at some point in there career.
