Where could I find a list of those boxers who won the New York Amateur boxing bouts, around the period of the 1970s-1980s. Looking to confirm that Merritt Walker won two Golden Glove awards in the welterweight division at Madison Square Garden.

I think there was two divisions in the Gloves then. Open class 9 fights and up and Novice class 9 fights and lower!
The Open class advanced to a regional and winners on to Nationals.

US National Championships
National Golden Gloves
New York Golden Gloves - Open
New York Golden Gloves - Sub-Novice
Inter City Championships
... and I'm afraid, Merritt Walker is nowhere to be found.Comment
