A 2012 Ring article Wlad against previous great heavyweight champs.

    Louis. Louis wins ko7
    Marciano . Wlad wins dec.
    Patterson. Wlad wins ko5
    Liston. Liston wins ko8
    Ali. Ali wins dec
    Frazier. Frazier wins dec
    Holmes. Holmes wins dec
    Tyson. Tyson wins dec
    Lewis. Lewis wins ko10
    Foreman. Foreman wins ko 10

    Anyone agree ? disagree?

Picks look decent to me accept the big one being Tyson. Tyson imo would expose all of Wlad's weakness and the pawing jab/ clinching tactics wouldn't save him from Tyson's wrath. Tyson by early blowout. I'm borderline on Marciano. Wlad may win a decision, with clinching, but is susceptible to being ground down for a late stoppage especially in a 15 rounder. Patterson is chinny himself but could score a knockout on the type of vicious leaping left hook that ripped apart Johansson's neck muscles and had him bleeding out of the ears.
Lewis imo would give Wlad the Grant/Golota treatment. Foreman would get the job done inside 5 rounds.
I see Ali and Holmes giving him a boxing lesson and stopping a fatigued Wlad late.

It just goes to show any deluded boxing fan or writer can post such nonsense....The only two on that list remotely giving Wlad a threat at his best would be Tyson and lewis...anyother maybe Foreman only b/c of punchers chance however who did he actually beat on wlads level ?certainly not 5'11 225 overweight Frazier?so I have my shield ready here I know logic here is almost non existant concerning HOfers.. so I wont bother defending my post!

A prime Frazier weighed 205 and was a monster in the ring. The only time he was 225 or over was for an ill advised comeback fight following a 5 year layoff. Your size bias is becoming more and more ridiculous.

Frazier never fought Foreman at 205 do your research before making points as facts.your own post just reinforces mine..that foreman never beat anyone as good as Wlad.

Lewis, Foreman, and Ali all beat Wladimir. Wlad takes the rest. Holmes could POSSIBLY win a decision but i doubt it.

Ali needed the jab control and was not a big puncher...you need to be a big puncher against him.Steward said Wlad was more talented than Lewis before he passed does he win?WWell Wlad hits harder and is better technically,Lewis is more ring savy, both have equal chins I think...Tyson is another story, hes never really beat anyone of wlads talent and size...tucker is the closest thing. All three can win on any given night.at least you made a fair assessment didn't think I would see one.

Muhammad Ali was a great puncher... he knocked out Liston, Bonavena & Foreman

you are misinformed as usual...foreman punched himself out and was exhausted after wasting practically every punch to alis elbows...Liston took a dive at least once and Bonevena???I have not much care for him in history of HW boxing...Ali was a great puncher when the time arrived, but against who?Wlad would simply pace himself, pick his shots and it would be a wrap k.o or not.
