Remco Pardoe a Danish jui jitsu world champion brutally knocking out Orlando wheat a world champ kick boxer in UFC 2 1993 with elbow strikes to the jaw on the ground while he had his opponent helplessly trapped on the ground.....out cold wasn't the word.Yes its a UFC fight not boxing.

Our own respected moderator, Battling Nelson was a lightweight back in the 1908's. He was younger then.

The ones are I am most familiar with are the recent ones, Kessler, Brian Nielson and the Bredahl brothers. However I remember Pipino Cuevas stopping Jorgan Hanson when everyone was wondering if he was through.

Tom Bogs was a middleweight contender in the late 60's/early 70's. In 87 fights his only KO losses were to Carlos Monzon and John Conteh.

There's quite the Danish contingency on this site - Most active nowadays are probably Battlin Nelson, history mod, and Weltschmerz - At least he claims to be. I myself have lived in Denmark for 15 years and am half-Danish.

Så hej og velkommen til siden.

I would say the best Danish boxer ever is Mikkel Kessler, without question. Jimmy Bredahl won the WBO super-featherweight title on the same night as his brother, Johnny, won the super-flyweight version. Gert Bo Jacobsen won a welterweight title at some stage - I don't remember which belt it was. Probably IBO or WBO or something like that.

And of course, then we've had one of the toughest lightweights of all times - which was Battlin Nelson, and a 5 time super middleweight champion in Mikkel Kessler.

We also had the boxing teddy bear, Brian Nielsen, who dispite often getting a bad rep - was actually an ok fighter.

I'm still durable though. And thanks.

That would be NielSEN and HanSEN. Danes are easlily offended when their surnames are spelled as if they where swedes lol.

Hansen had that booming right hand. He got they Cuevas fight on the Kalule-Leonard undercard based on him upsetting Dave Boy Green in arguably the most famous fight in Danish boxing history.

Green subsequently went on the receiving end of one of the most spectacular KO's in the 80s at the hands of Leonard.

Today Bogs would without a doubt have been an alphabet title holder. He's arguably no. 3 on an all-time dane list behind Battling Nelson and Mikkel Kessler.

I always wondered why you had such a major league hard on for Andre Ward. Given the Ward/Kessler fight, I get it now
