What's your thoughts on Marcel, them_apples?

Not usually included on these kinds of lists—at least not those I've stumbled across—but an excellent fighter nonetheless.

Ring Magazine had him rated at number 2 back in 2001.

He does have some very nice wins at the weight over the likes of Sarron, Belloise, and Arizmendi, but a lot of his best work came when he or his opponent weighed over the featherweight limit, so it you're gonna rate him that high at the weight, you'd have to allow a bit of latitude and count some of the fights that would be considered super featherweight contests in this era.

Any thread that omits Kilbane and McGovern cannot be taken seriously.

Even if you included them, placing Atell over Driscoll is dead wrong even Atell would tell you that.

And then there's the issue of adding Armstrong. It's a FEATHERweight list. It should rank FEATHERweights, right?

                Is that a joke?

You have guys on there who weren't even champions. Hell, you have guys on there who weren't even featherweights.

meanwhile bonafide featherweight greats don't even get mentioned.

Except Lomachenko was actually a Featherweight. Really... he still is. He is actually fighting bigger men - something Armstrong rarely did.

Now, if Loma had tried to collect belts at 118 or 122, and did it w/o fighting Inoue and Rigo respectively, then we could make that comparison.

But I have illustrated very clearly how Armstrong was never Featherweight, and he only waited to compete for that belt when the very gifted Freddie Miller had already concluded his career.
