Was Fernando Vargas put in with Tito too early?

    Nando was brought along well, and actually developed some chops and polish but there was ONE thing that got him in trouble and that was the desire to occasionally slug it out. When he slugged it out with a real puncher (Tito) all the polish and skills went down the drain. When Cotto got in trouble with Torrez he backed off a bit and actually later down the line he learned to box. When Juan Ma was balls to the wall he tried to slug it out with a slugger...Its a common event in the square circle. The question will always be: Could Nando have overcome this with more experience?
    I never subscribed to the theory that Vargas was too "green" for Trinidad...

    Like u I always felt that Nando erred in strategy not overall development...Had he totally utilized his god given talents perhaps the outcome would have been different...

    It was the willingness of Vargas to stand and trade that did him in...
