One of my favourite fights. I love how Evander stood in there and fought Coopers fight when he should have just boxed. Thats one reason why he was so great.

That right hand that rocked holyfield would have KO'd anyone else except guys like Ali, Vitali, Holmes. The elite chins.

The 3rd round needs a shout out as one of the best rounds ever IMO. High drama slugfest at close quarters. Great stuff.

This was a very entertaining fight. At his best Cooper was a tough guy, he took a lot of punishment but kept on coming.

Sure Evander could have made it easier for himself and I don't understand why he didn't. Furthermore is the fact that Evander made the fight a slugfest a contributing 'greatness' factor?

If so a certain p4p star of today and HW champ just lost a few points on the greatness scale.

I think this and the Stewart fights look badly upon prime Evander Holyfield..

When you see his classic wars against Bowe and Foreman you tend to forget how vulnerable and bad he looked sometimes against journeymen.

Great fight though, absolutely love rewatching it.

A ****** move yes, but everyone who watched that fight that night would have felt they got their moneys worth and that is a huge part of boxing. Over in aus we gotta pay PPV for everything, even a HBO headliner is made into a ppv..The amount of times i have felt like my money was wasted is ridiculous..JMM and Manny are some of the only guys who ever made a fight worth watching..Floyd has robbed me of hundreds of dollars lol..So a fighter like Holyfield today would be worth his weight in gold to aussie boxing fans

At the end of the day, action packed fights are what attracts the most fans and promotes the sport..
