Ali. Greatest speed. Greatest chin. Greatest guts. Great cutresistance. Good size and reach.

Thanks, old stick, for reminding me. I forgot to think of chin as a gift, which it mostly is, perhaps, and here I am the one who has long touted chin as the #1 quality a truly great fighter needs. If I am going to include chin as a god-given talent, that would be important enough to change my vote from RJJ to someone else, I believe.

Hmmm...For me, I think I will leave chin out of it for now, and just defer to the Speed/Grace/Power/Reflex/Timing agenda. I understand if someone wants to make chin part of their vote though.

With chin included, Ali or Robinson probably run away with it, given all the subjects' similarities in speed, etc.

Leonard quite easily. Has everything the other guys had and more. The chin, speed, power, footwork, will to win and style. Robinson will be the choice of people who'd rather count fights they've never seen than actual data and Ali, Roy and Floyd lack power to compete. Floyd is best fighter H2H though IMO. And Whitaker should be on this list as his movement destroys everyone else's.

Roy only comes out on top in hand speed and even that's debatable. He is easily bottom of the list.

Its preference... Ali, Robinson, and Leonard are definitely top 3.

          Chin, strength, and endurance.

Of Speed/Grace/Power/Reflex/Timing, the power category shifts things in Robinson's and Jones's favor, since they are heavier P4P hitters than anyone else I listed, including Monzon. Ali and Leonard had decent power and Robinson's was superb. Pep and Locche and Benny Leonard were light hitters.

Roy Jones. One of the fastest boxers I've ever seen with crunching power to go along with it. Truly a physically gifted marvel in his youth.

I voted Jones but in all honesty I've seen more of his fights than most of the others. I think it's harder to tell on older footage too. I think Ali was the most intelligent in terms of ring IQ and mind games, but prime RJJ's natural reflexes and speed were enough to win him most of his fights.
