I was just realizing that everyone who was in that 8 man WBA tournament in 1968 is now dead, except for Karl Mildenberger. The best three fighters who didn't enter that tournament (Liston, Frazier, Mathis) are gone too.

He does have wins over other hall of famers. But I would agree it's questionable.

However, he's a former champion. I guess. Had a version of the title. Beat Chuvalo, Folley, Williams, Bob Foster, Eddie Machen.

Those are all very good wins.

This is what I hate about "fans" they have no respect for the men who actually participate in the sport when their alive and even dead!
