  • Did anyone have Ali win on the cards vs. Berbick

I watched the fight closely and Ali landed some good shots and stayed on the outside pretty well. He did pretty good for someone who already had parkinsons tbh.

I think the reason the judges gave it to Berbick was because Ali had set big expectations thoughout his career and his performance in this fight was overlooked as opposed to other great victories he had.

Forum was having technical difficulties, but it's back now...

As for the thread, no I didn't have Ali winning on the cards..I thought it was a wide decision win for berbick..Mali had his moments, but that's all it was were moments, nothing sustained, just shimmers of what use to be..

I find it difficult to award Ali most of his WINS against his somewhat decent opponents, let alone one of his losses. Particularly one of his last 2!

I couldn't watch the whole fight, watching a champ be cut down like that.
I can't help but feel a little better watching Mike Tyson then destroy him though.

No I didn't score it for Ali, but he did win a few rounds. He undoubtedly had more than the early signs of Parkinson's syndrome.......and his weight was much higher than it was for the Spinks rematch.

Some people seem to be quite impressed by this performance by Ali because he really did look absolutely awful against Holmes when hindered by the thyroid medication. Ali vs Berbick was actually quite a good fight, for as long as you excuse the fact that Ali was only a pale shadow of what he once was.
