jeff was tall 5'7 a boxer that held the wba from 80 to 84. he lost a over the weight bout but avenged it in a title defence. Did not linger after losing the title to Richie Sandoval. would have been nice to have seen a unification fight with Pintor.

Wasn't this the guy nicknamed "joltin" Jeff..

I know his fights with Munoz and he fought the japan fighter twice, can't recall his name at the moment,,

I know he is a hall of famer, but not sure I'm 100% sold on it

Kinda reminds me of a Kosta tsyzu type career where they had a nice run as champ but once they lost to the younger guy ie hatton, Sandoval, they left the sport..

I am curious to see what others think about him and if he is justified for hof induction..

Good Philly fighter who has always been underrated. I always wanted to see a unification with Pintor because their contrasting styles would have made for an interesting fight. Chandler had a good run until he was overwhelmed by the faster Sandoval. He would be a top bantamweight if he were around now.

lupe would try to drain Jeff with a body attack but I think Jeff had the good's to outpoint him.

No way I'd pick Chandler to beat Rigo. His style is too difficult for almost anyone, and he's in a higher weight division.

Chandler was champion for almost 4 years and won a lot of title fights against okay competition. I have no problem with him being in the HOF. He probably benefited (like Mark Johnson) of being an American champion with TV exposure in a smaller division.
