I thought his chin was pretty good. His chin stood up to some pretty good punchers. Funny but in the early stages many were suggesting his chin was vulnerable as he was dropped by Valenzuela and Giorgio Campanella. But after all has been said and done, it held up pretty well.

If you have a good chin you don't get dropped. I would say it was average.

So you think Ali had an average chin? IMO Ali had a granite chin but was tagged against Frazier and also again Cooper.

I think Oscar had a very good chin.

            I say it's iron.

It is not quite strong enough to be steel though.

Oscar had an excellent ability to absorb blows to the head. Only stoppages from memory are from a body blow by Hopkins up at middleweight and a corner retirement against Pacquiao.

When you consider all the pound for pound stars he met over his career you have to conclude that his chin was pretty good.

Many praise Margarito's chin. But Oscar survived 24 rounds against a far more prime version of Mosley without really being hurt....whereas we know what happened to Margarito!

                  !
For that I'm gonna have to say that Margarito took infinitely more punches to the head against Mosley than Oscar ever did in 24 rounds. In fact he absorbed so many flush power punches to the head it was probably the most impressive display of durability I've seen even though he got TKO'd at the end.

You ****ing dummy everyone gets dropped at some point in their career.

                    Except Hagler and Chuvalo.

Oscar had a damn good chin. Even when he was old he could still take bombs. Oscar is ****ing underrated. The guy was great and was down to fight anyone.
