What were the worst early stoppages in boxing history?

Hello, I thought this would be an interesting thread and probably bring up a few arguments. Here's a couple I can think of off the top of my head to get it started:

    Bermane Stiverne vs. King

    Chico Corrales vs. Derrick Gainer

They are both on youtube. Sorry, I'm not yet allowed to post links

Well I guess it would be a stretch to call Chavez-Taylor an early stoppage. So...

Froch-Groves. There should be a ****ing rematch!!!

Worst I've seen is Calzaghe vs Manfredo. Actually Calzaghe had many fights where the crooked referee seems to be frightened by the slaps that weren't even close to stopping his opponents yet.

            this..

calzaghe didnt even come close to hitting him with 90% of the punches he threw at the time of the stopage. he was literally slapping his gloves and the ref stepped in.

there is usually some sort of reason a fight could have been stopped even if it is a poor stoppage. in the froch fight groves was hurt, taking shots and had his back halfway turned at the time of the stoppage. like mentioned that was still a terrible stoppage.

in the calzaghe-manfredo fight there was literally no reason to stop it whatsoever, none. you cant make any case for it being stopped, absolutely horrendous stoppage to a horrendous title defense. arguably one of the worst nights in the history of boxing.

There's some more in this thread:

Discuss the history of the sport and the boxers that made the sport.

After following pro-boxing for nearly 40 years now, I wonder if there is anything called a premature stoppage …

The more you read and learn about external violence to the head, the more you understand how fragile the brain is.

We at ringside might wish for a definite ending to every fight. But – like we onlookers want - the combatants in the ring also deserve to have a fruitful and functional life after their boxing careers have come to an end.
