I agree that Forrest gets in.

Do you think Judah gets in?

Judah, no.. But I wouldn't be shocked if he got in... He was a huge name, plus had a lot of big time fights, fought at the championship level for over a decade, was a 2 division champ, 3 time titlist at 140 and former lineal welter champ..

I don't think he deserves it, but he has factors working for him, most notably the longevity at the championship level, and his popularity.. And in today's era, popularity is a major role in inducting guys...

I don't think he gets in, but wouldn't shock me if he did. Same goes for Fernando Vargas and mayorga

If Forrest, Judah, Vargas, or Mayorga get in, them the IBHOF is a complete joke. Bad enough Gatti, McGuigen and TZusz are in

Joe calzaghe did not beat a hall of famer that was within 5 years of their prime but went unbeaten.

Wladimir klitschko is dominating a weak heavyweight era. has a weak chin and little inside game but is an excellent boxer on the outside.

Just how good are these guys?

          Post more examples and discuss.
Wlad is a great boxer making a weight division look weak simple as that.
If he has a weak chin why hasn't he been stopped in several years?
Why don't fighters just go all out and try to hit him in the chin?

Simple put he is a great HW and definitely does belong among the best HWs of all time, he did what Floyd Patterson couldn't do and that is utilize a great defense to avoid taking unnecessary damage.

Which brings me onto saying... FLOYD PATTERSON!
He was a wonderful fighter very gifted just not very gifted in the defensive department.

              Nah he won't.

To be honest a lot of hall of famers will have excellent top wins besides the guys you mentioned. Ricardo Lopez is probably the best answer for this thread.

As much as I respect Vernon Forrest I don't think he should make it.

I feel really unpatriotic saying this, but the Welsh trio of Joe Calzaghe, Jim Driscoll and Jimmy Wilde could also qualify for this thread.

Calzaghe certainly. Driscoll probably. Wilde is debatable.

Yes I agree.. Gatti I actually don't have a huge issue with... He won some belts but more importantly in my view, when you win fight of the year on numerous occasions with a variety of opponents, that has got account for something.. That's a rare feat to have that many fights of the year.. He will always be mentioned when his era is discussed fifty, sixty years from now..

I agree, but hof looks to induct as many people as they can each year to make money... I think 10-15-25 years from now and if they induct 4 people a year that will be 100 fighters in 25 years.. At that point, zab will have nostaligic appeal, and will sell tickets to the inductions, same goes with Vargas, mayoral, etc

He is very borderline. Not upset if someone votes him in or out.. He had hof type skills, and 2 hof caliber wins, but his resume is very thin after that

Wilde is a tough one to judge, because there is very little known about the sport during his era, and hard to rate his opponents.. Seemed to fight everyone from his era, all the different regional champs, though I do think he declined to fight the euro champ at the time IRCC.
Plus he gets the benefit of being one of the true pioneers of the sport and the first flyweight star

Corrales hasn't even gotten in yet. Neither has Tippy Larkin. Forrest literally only has 2 wins over Mosley and a robbery win over an old Quartey. No way at all he gets in. Hell Corrales has a better resume than Forrest does
