Holyfield had many one last great fights. Especially when you consider he was washed up before Tyson fought him.

That was hardly Ali's "last great fight".

This is in no particular order, other than when I thought of 'em.

        1. Holmes vs Mercer
        2. Foreman vs Moorer
        3. Duran vs Barkley
        4. Hearns vs Hill

....I'm sure there's more; but this early in the morning, that's the most my brain can come up with.

Check out the Lacy fight.......its a Jones jnr gem. He really had looked on the way down in the Tarver fights, Johnson and Calzaghe. But he really showed some fantastic combination work that night.

Marquez against Pacquiao 3 and 4. I thought he would win but many others thought it was over for Marquez due to age and weight and rightfully so.

Somewhere in here we have to include Ray Robinson. After he came back from his short show business carreer he lost his timing and even members of his long time corner were telling him to pack it in. I guess if I could pick one fight that he recaptured the magic that was sugar Ray It would be his one punch ko of Gene Fullmer.

Basilio's performance in his 1958 rematch with Sugar Ray Robinson is a borderline case, but I would count it as one such example. It wasn't clear at the time, but in retrospect, it seems pretty clear that the wars, culminating with the first SRR fight, were taking a significant toll on Basilio's body. He gave everything he had in that 1958 fight, and then basically had nothing left afterward.
