  • Boxers in history that could have gone through Pacquiao's Resume

I know this sounds like a super p@ctard thread but srs, are there any other fighters in the modern era that could have started at super bantam or bantam and fought their way through to welterweight. Say what you will about the catch weights against cotto and the non effort by clottey.
Pacquiao pretty much punched his way from flyweight to welterweight (i dont count the margarito fight as a legit 154 title fight).

What other fighters in the past 50 years could have gone through Pacquiao's resume?

I know jimmy started at pro at a low weight class but do you think he was world class until he matured to welter?

Duran fought and beat Marcel who would latter be feather champ. I could see duran winning the jr light weight championship and titles to middleweight if moved correctly.

              Ernesto Marcel is sadly underrated.

True, but his early retirement took away any chance he had to get into the international spotlight.

Do you know why he left boxing like that?

SRR fought lightweights early in his career, and then went all the way up to light heavy,,,

I think SRR could have been a champ at every division from 135-175 in today's era,,
                  135,140,147,154,160,168,175 Thats seven,,,,

I dont think anyone would be able to to the 8 that manny has won, but lets be real, the 154 belt was a charade, I dont consider manny a champ there,,,,

It was something along the line that he felt he was not making enough money from boxing and that he lacked the dedication needed to stay at the top. His heart simply wasn't in it anymore.
