Larry Merchant gave the funniest interviews imo. He took full advantage of the fact the fighters had just had their brains beat out and grilled them on any slip ups lol.

Merchant vs Lewis after the Vitali fight was my favourite...

You beat me to it. Normally I was NOT a LM fan, but that was clearly his finest hour (and perhaps Lennox's poorest). He had the courage to hold Lewis's feet to the fire and not just let him spin his baloney unchecked. LL didn't want to admit that he was being beaten that night (on all three cards), but to his credit Merchant was having none of that.

Yeah as much as Ali disgusts me LOL he did in fact have some good quotes. In fact I think his quotes were better than his boxing!

That's because he wasn't beaten as the cards don't matter when you stop the guy. If they did, then Lewis wouldn't have won and neither would about a million other fighters over the years.

Cards are only important when the fight actually goes the distance mate. It's a tricky one to remember I know.
