No, I feel the same way, that's what I've been saying all along.Gomez wouldn't do nothing to Eusebio, but get his feelings hurt.

Pedroza was a good champion, not a great one. Again, Gomez KOes him in 9 one sided rounds

Bob, you know what happened when Wilfredo met Salvador. It would be worse with Pedroza.Remember Salvador didn't fight Eusebio.Strong Reason for that.

where you even around for the heydays of Gomez/Sanchez/Pedroza? Pedroza simply doesn't have the quality win for you to have this lofty opinion of him. A win over an ancient Olivares, a couple of highly questionable decisions (Lockridge 2x, LaPorte) and a out and out robbery draw vs Taylor does not a great fighter make. I'll say it again, every boxing fan that watched these two in their heyday will pick Gomez. EASY!

Yeah, a bit young, but pretty much around.Gomez-Sanchez took place around the time of the upper echelon of elementary school.

I was around bob, though just another young west coast amateur myself, the stories we could tell these youngstaz, man, zarate was like a legend already, no bs. then when gomez beats him, well we got a new king and possibley the best ever at 122. it was always my opinion tho, that gomez was the best partly becuz he was so strong at the weight and that if he moved up, he would not be as effective and dam if his ring recordt dont show that to b likely. u know? the beatings he took from sanchez, nelson n lockridge all above 122, nobody could take gomez at 122. so for pedroza who always seemed to be the bigger stronger guy in there and good for him cuz he had some close ones, his size n strength would override gomez talent. just imo, pedroza lost the first lockridge fight.
