Monzon looked bigger in the ring against middleweights than his stats would indicate. He would lose that advantage at 175. Monzon would have been a good fit at 168, and he would still be very competitive at 175, but no way I'd pick him to beat Bob Foster. If Monzon had moved up rather than retire, a fight against Victor Galindez would have been very interesting (and of course huge in Argentina).

Monzon would definitely have lost some physical advantages. He'd have been taller than Galindez though.

his height and size for 160 was part of what made him so effective so I wouldn't expect him to dominate anything like he did at 160.

His Monzonian ass would have been put in place by Galindez, Conteh, and Foster.

Monzon was a smarter fightr than Foster or Conteh or Galindez and at 6' tall he doesn't give any size away at all! He will bring better power with him from 160 and could compete against anyone!! People here don't know or forget how good he really was, he could be successfull in any era!!!
              An outstanding fighter!!!! Ray.

But could Monzon survive Bob's power? I don't see that happening .
