Matthew and Davey held titles at lmw & smw respectively..Alex also boxed, but i don't know whether he had a career or not?

Seem to recall a lot of controversy to do with them, Davey in particular had serious issues that i believe finished his career..

Remember Matthew as a bit of a roughneck, and quite a fighter, but was'nt in the top tier for long..

Quality fighters, or just a bunch of hillbillies?.. Comments and opinions please..

If my memory is correct...Arturo gatti married into the Hilton family at some point and there was bad blood involving Joe gatti and a Hilton. One of the boxing magazines said that the wedding reception featured some top quality pay per view fights.

Davey Hilton Jr went to jail for sexually abusing his own daughters when they were between 11 and 15 years old...they wrote a book about it. After serving about 5 years and released he was rearrested for assaulting his wife and making death threats. He was acquitted of the charges but arrested again a few years later and charged with threats and assault along with his brother Jimmy Hilton. He's a complete low life and a very sick person.

That was actually a 'must watch' fight..Hines was another flash in the pan who looked great beating Hilton, but lost the IBF title to 'Schoolboy' Van Horn in his first defense, and was'nt really heard of much after that.

Yes, i remember something about this, and Dave jr was a total wrong'un from what i can gather..

They all issues with alcohol and alex spent time behind bars although not a world rated contender or champ he was once the canadain mw champ. The youngest brother was killed in an auto accident.
These guys had talent as fighters but were trouble outside of the ring.
