Too right!.. And, with the exclusion of the oldest and worst possible version of **** Tiger, ko'd a load of cans in comparison to Spinks, who i feel is the greater fighter at 175 and above.. Foster's domination of a very weak era does'nt quite get him there imo.

surely u seen foster dam near kill mike quarry with one hook. the jinx was a good power shot but nothing like the poison in fosters hook. don't get me wrong, spinx more complete package with variety of punch angles and awkward but effective movement imo make him the better fighter but fosters hook is the harder shot

I'll concede Foster had the better one shot stopping power..

H2h though, i'd bet on Spinks by stoppage.

Cooney was tall with an enormous left hand, and had a better chin than Bob imo.

Spinks had great one-punch KO power in both hands at 175. Probably the second hardest hitting 175lber in history, behind Foster.

But, Bob Foster is simply one of THE greatest punchers in boxing history. I put him in the top 5 of best hitters ever.

Cooney was also clearly past his best. Put the cooney of the norton fight in against spinks and he does a demolition job on Michael.

I pick Foster to win by late round KO, his left jab would offset Michael's awkward rhythm and eventually land with the epic left hook that would stop Spinks.

Not only was Cooney past his prime, he was a pretty bad alcoholic back then. His performance against Spinks was pathetic. Cooney was in much better shape when he fought Foreman later.
