The fighter with the most TV appearances then was Gaspar Ortega, he might still hold that record!!!
Smith, Mims and Vejar are a few of my favorites, I got to meet Chico back in the day and Gaspar was a friend of my families! Knew him when I was 12yrs old and some 20 years later he handled a few of my fighters then 15 years after that became the head trainer at one of the gyms I started in Hamden Ct.

Unfortunetly the TV shows started to effect the live gates and in time the live shows suffered from boxing being over exposed on TV! It became harder and harder to develop a young fighter as the local shows became fewer and that problem is very much the reason that boxing has fallen off the local level scenes! It hurts the sport more than any other reason. Ray
