I have not heard of the weigh-in fight but after the stoppage a member of esteban's camp came after duran and was restrained.

In what respect? As in what they weighed, because they both came in at 134? Or just the pre fight hype bit?

I remember reading something a report/article that said at the time they De Jesus was ahead and it was a completely even fight until the sudden, abrupt ending. They must have been PRican to be seeing that. That was a masterclass of boxer/puncher perfection.

Anyway, I can't remember any of the prefight stuff TBH. Sorry.

I believe they got into an actual fight at their weigh in, would like to find out who won if it was anything more than just a quick scuffle...

Yeah it was a great showing for sure

Ahh I see. Unfortunately I was still too young to have been able to actually remember watching it and knowing a bout all the pre fight stuff. I grew up with Leonard's prime more so, when Duran was already considered a true veteran. My dad loved Duran though so I got some schooling about him. Used to show me his favourite Duran shots....on me.
