  • Rank these heavyweights

Rank these five heavyweights in reverse order based on their resume and weight starting with the punching power and ending with the lack of punch resistance towards the prime of their career.

    Rocky Marciano
    Evander Holyfield
    Mike Tyson
    Oliver McCall
    Sonny Liston

Marciano would be number one by far. The others are very overrated.

You got me, I was just having some fun and made it as confusing as possible. I based it on a couple threads. Several people like Verstyle
and JAB5329 knew I was kidding around.

The original question made me laugh.

Oliver McCalls's inverse chin to resume ratio can't be topped, assuming one factors in the Bruno Coefficient. Rocky Marciano's power also improved his opponents' with a high punch resistance as their weight stayed the same.

Honorable mention definitely goes to Liston: Although his resume advanced with his punch resistance, his weight and power were not even close to each other during his prime. That's one of the main reasons why he beat Floyd Patterson: Patterson's resume couldn't compare to Liston's chin, even though it was far superior to his power.

Those were the good old days. Today's heavyweights have the resumes on par with featherweights who don't possess good chins (featherweights with good chins have even worse resumes!) but their punch resistance and power are excellent. What a shame!
