Greek, you and I had a short discussion about McCoy a few weeks back at ESB, and we seemed to be on almost the totally opposite ends of the spectrum when it came to him...I've never seen McCoy fight, but based on what I've read of him, I just don't have a high opinion of him as a fighter.

"McCoy was undoubtably the most unimpressive and mediocre scrapper that ever held leadership of the middleweight class." - Ring Magazine

It's really hard getting past that comment and those similiar to it when it comes to McCoy, but most articles that I've read about him do speak well in regards to his ability to absorb punishment, so...Maybe he could go a few rounds with Ketchel.

come on, The Ring have talk bad about other great fighters,(Rocky Marciano comes to mind) McCoy was champ for a while, when they had 1 title. I never seen film, but the guy had a chin, not sure on power. But I belive Ketchcal will win of couse, but I think this is going to be a brawl that will last 8 or 9 rounds.

McCoy is highly underrated, Maybe not the best of the best. But a very good fighter.

I think that Muhammad Ali would school Joe Louis. In every fight where Joe Louis fought a mover, he had some difficulty. Now put him against the best moving-heavyweight in history...I don't know. I just don't think it would be that exciting. Don't get me wrong, he was one of the greatest champions; nearly twelve years as champ says a lot. I believe that he would have had a less impressive showing against the fighters who would come after 1960.

        Other good matches:

Ivan Drago vs. George Foreman (Drago was 6'4" 261, and faster than Foreman...might not be that fair)

        King Hippo vs. Butterbean
        Muhammad Ali vs. Apollo Creed
        Ghandi vs. Splinter
        Stay-Puff vs. Godzilla

        TITLE MATCH
        George Lucas vs. Bill Gates

IMO, these are the best possible match-ups.

          muhammad ali vs. larry holmes
          sonny liston vs. george foreman
          joe frazier vs. mike tyson
          joe louis vs. jack johnson
          jack dempsey vs. rocky marciano
floyd patterson vs. jersey joe walcott

i just matched up fighters who had the same style and size.

          hope you like them!
