    No, fighters are not underrated by where they come from, most of the time. It's not like Americans all think only American fighters are good.

        I think that may be part of it. He didn't exactly help himself with his boxing scientist approach, but if he was American he wouldn't have had to fight for their acceptance so much.

          Yep totally agree, Lewis was a great champion but he was never a media favourite hence his lack of aclaim!
