If I had to take a guess, I would say history will notice that he was carefully guided after a certain point. There are question marks in my opinion.
He was and is a legitimate great, but at 147, his advantages were outweighed by his limitations. That's why he took so many well-timed fights as of late.
I think the Marquez rematches were slip-ups. Especially considering last night. Marquez was the wrong opponent for him at higher weights, where it became more of a match of their brains than of their physical attributes. -
