  • What direction would Salvador Sanchez carreer have taken.

He was very young when he passed on and beating very good fighters. He is a hof fighter where do envision his career going if there had not been that tragic accident?

Salvador Sanchez did not look so great in his fights post-Wilfredo Gomez. It is very possible the best of him had already been witnessed.

Possibly a win or two at the 130 pound level, winning one of those titles, but not much else further up.I can't see him beating an Arguello, Kenty, Davis Jr., or even Mancini. And for his sake, I hope he wouldn't have to face guys like Mayweather, Camacho, or Rosario, who may have embarrasssed him.

Probable would of beat Pedroza and rematched Nelson(beating him again) before moving up where he would still win some big fights against guys like Mayweather, and Lockridge but struggle against a guy like Camacho or maybe Brian Mitchell.

A fight I would of LOVED to have seen was Sanchez vs Fenech but Fenech didn't move up to feather until 88 Sanchez would of been long gone .

He would've been severely adversely affected by the end of the 15-round era, he and Arguello were two of the slowest starters and most dependent on championship rounds. There was a lot of talk about him wanting to retire to attend med school as well, I don't think he would have fought much longer.

Mayweather & Camacho at 126 get their azzes kicked by SaLvador! Honestly some of you younger guys who think these current boxers who are good but NOT great think their great because its in YOUR time sound foolish!
At 126 Mayweather had the power of a Feather Sanchez was a boxer who could fire anyone up! He was only 23 yrs old and he was on the "down side"?
Honestly all you guys know is how to look at records! You don't know **** about techniques! Ray.

Mayweather and Camacho never fought at 126. At 130 I think Sanchez would get beaten pretty badly by Camacho its just a really bad matchup for him.

You mention techniques, but if you actually watched Sanchez you'd have seen how different a fighter he was when he didn't have someone coming right at him. Lopez, Gomez, and Castanon were the only guys who went at him face-first and they are the only three fighters he looked stellar against in his championship fights.

You act as if you're the only one who was watching Sanchez when he was active. Not only was I watching him, but I apparently was watching him far closer than you because it sounds to me like you don't remember him very well. You sound like the one looking at records and not the actual fights.
