SBleeder claimed he wishes fights would not end in KOs, and wishes that all go to the judges. He also said he can't stand it when a superior guy is winning a fight but then gets taken out with a single shot. I was challenging his beliefs (though he's entitled). If you think Herol Graham shouldn't have lost to Jackson, then Hearns shouldn't have lost to Leonard. After all, he was outboxing him before Ray got lucky enough to land a turnaround shot on Hearns.

    Panama...

Hagler is my all-time favorite fighter. He was a great technician who was a lefty, but he hurt and finished guys. His right jab was a jackhammer, not some distance-creating flick.

now that i think of it, sbleeder has a reputation for being a bit of a class clown. he was probably joking.

      I hope so.

        Not joking at all.

Not that I can't enjoy a fight that ends in a KO or stoppage, but I greatly prefer 12 or 15 rounds to anything shorter.

Again, I wouldn't pay to see three quarters of a football game.

...and that's because they are mandated to go 4.

Boxing is scheduled for a certain amount of rounds, but the folks who created boxing realized that when one guy punches another in his jaw or the pit of his gut there's a good chance the fight may need to be stopped.

Maybe once Herol Graham left the hospital he should have been allowed to resume his fight with Jackson?

If given the choice between watching Hagler and Hearns boxing in a real fight or sparring with 18ozers and headgear, I must assume you'd opt for the sparring session?

I think that list is worthy of a look.

I'm not really concerned if you do.

15 rounds of Hagler and Hearns > 3 rounds of Hagler and Hearns.
