    Guess The Champ.

Which future Lightweight Champ won his first 33 fights by knockout?

There's a pint of beer for the first correct answer.

We have a winner, ladies & gentlemen. Only took two responses.

Mr Christo, you have a pint waiting for you next time you're in Florida.

Struggled for a sec, thought it was Popo or Gomez at first then remembered Gonzalez.

He was Champ in 1972 til 1974. Some (& I put the some in "") say he was better than Duran. We know he wasn't but as an up & comer he was really impressive.

I remember Gonzalez very well. He was very impressive winning the title from Carmona and there was talk of a Duran showdown. I saw him fight live on a card that Duran was also on in a non title fight. It was a surprise when he lost those two fights in Japan and then disappeared.
