He did not have a very good chin. It was below average and what kept him up or getting up was will-power and great conditioning, as well as an inferior opponent being unable to finish him. Nobody with a "very good chin" had any business being dropped and hurt by those opponents. The amount of times he hit the deck was bad enough but it's worse if you look at how often he got bambi legs(imo the true mark of a weak chin) if it had been anyone not named Louis with that kind of CV, they would be heavily criticized and vilified for it.
