              He is diverse enough I'd say he is the most well rounded drummer in the world.

              I'd say Mike Portnoy, John Bonham, and Peart are the best in the last 40 years.

                Peart, Bonham and Moon are probably the greatest 3 as far as Rock is concerned. Don't sleep on Carl Palmer (ELP) though.

                Vinnie Colaiuta is probably the best i've seen on the drums. So much versatility.

                      I was hoping that Moon and Palmer would get a mention. Two other lesser known great rock drummers from the past were Aynsley Dunbar and Cozy Powell.
