I've seen Liston destroy Cleveland Williams. Destroy him! And Cleveland Williams is a big guy, he's like 6'-6". And when Liston flattened him out, he covered the whole ring!

Giving Williams the benefit of the doubt I'd also say he was 6'3/210 (his listed weight for the fight), even though there are times in that fight where Williams looked just slightly shorter than did Ali (prefight instructions, as well as a few instances when they come together & stand straight up to each other)...The Liston fights also show that Williams didn't have very much of a height advantage over Sonny, so that fight footage again shows that Williams was no taller than 6'3.

Still a big guy obviously, but not the towering giant Butterfly is trying to make him out to be.
