What do you think of him? He was obviously the second best Welsh heavyweight, after Tommy Farr and the second best British heavyweight of his era, after Henry Cooper. He beat Cooper twice but also lost to him three times, all by stoppages. Also outpointed Willie Pastrano, Erskine did. He was obviously not a big puncher but a good technician.
