Nah, Lew was an out and out puncher, great to watch, with the 1 rnd ko of Tippy Larkin, nothing short of spectacular.. Very much a ko or be koed type of fighter..

For one or two shot stopping power, he's right up there imo.

Whiskey Women and Motorbikes - The life of Lew Jenkins, is a great read.

Although he only had 1 fight at 135 lbs Manny has to be on everyones top 10 hardest hitting list.

I'll go with Ike Williams!! A combination puncher who had power in ALL his punches and a solid two handed attack also!!! Ray.

I'm a fan of Pacquiao, but I disagree. He never showed immense power at 135. He systematically broke down a less than great world champion (to put it kindly) in David Diaz. If you looked at that one Pacquiao fight alone and not seen any of his others I don't think you'd say that his power is top 10 of all-time at the weight.

Manny was uninspired by a decent but not great opponent. After beating the trio of MAB, Erik and JMM I don't think he was pumped up for Diaz. Probably a good thing because he might have brain damaged the poor guy.

I've read a lot of of articles on Williams & actually was able to speak to a couple of old timers that saw many of his fights, he had power in his right hand & hit hard, his Left was not known for power, so the post here that said he was a heavy 2 handed fighter may not be completely right, most of my research says he was mostly a right hand KO artist, my 2 sources that liked Williams and saw him fight, agree that Corrales most likely hits harder overall with both hands, so that based on my own readings & research, which I do a lot of, brings me to the conclusion of Corrales at #1 at LW, Lew Jenkins, hit hard with both hands, yes, but not top 20.

                    Hardest Punchers

Edwin Valero, fought like 3 Bouts at LW in his last 3 Bouts, not quite enough to even rank him top 10 all time at LW, let alone at #1, and the 3 guys he fought at LW were really not much to judge his power against.

Ortiz was an excellent Boxer, but definitely not a Power Guy, Mancini not a great overall fighter but a good one, he had more Power than probably Jenkins, Ortiz and a couple others on this list. but you invalidate the list by Placing a guy with 3 bouts at LW over a career's worth in Duran and others.

Why can't you understand Corralles, over others, watch all of his LW bouts on youtube and check out his record at LW, put them together and he showed awesome Power, just an edge over Duran, I rate him an edge over Williams, Chavez & Duran so close there may not have been a difference, but those are your top 4, for sure.

Then you have Pacaman, Arguello, G. Gonzalez and Ganigan a notch below them, look how Ganigan layed out Arguello with 1 PUnch, if not one of the greatest of all time, Alexis would have lost that one, I would love to have seen Ganigan vs. Pryor at LW, but then again, he along with Duran, Gonzalez and others are the reasons, Pryor and his people took him and ran to a crappy JWW division with no power guys, Pryor 10x better than A. Ganigan, but Pryor had no defense and a suspect chin, downed 8x in his career by bums, if Andy had connected and odds are you would have before he was knocked, he would have Flattened Pryor, magic bottle or no bottle. and Gonzalez hit nearly as hard, but was a much better all around fighter than ganigan, so him and Pryor would have been a good one, either were both twice as good as any of the bums Pryor fought at JWW, then Arguello at LW had more power than he carried up to JWW, so abetter bout at LW than JWW against Pryor, I just would like to have seen Valero fight a few more at LW and against some better people before adding him, so I will just stick to rating him at JLW, same with other guys, I don't rate Pryor at LW because even though he was ranked as high as # 3 there, he hardly ever fought there,
