How bad?

That was a terrible top 10. Patterson, Folley, and Jones were all past their primes. The rest range from ordinary to talentless. I remember Amos "Big Train" Lincoln, and he really ******.

Liston should still be on the list... if Floyd Jr. doesn't get taken out of the rankings for a year of inactivity than neither should Sonny.

As it is, these guys are no worse than the HWs of the mid/late 80s.

Terrell was certainly no worse than a typical top-10 contender in an average strength era. Chuvalo was a pretty good fighter, better then the obsese detritus floating in the bowl today. Patterson was a near-great. The division wasn't as strong as it would be in another year or two when guys like Frazier, Quarry, and Ellis started to come up but it wasn't crap either.

Liston certainly should be on any list that has Hubert Hilton or Amos Lincoln (who Liston KO'd) on it. But Liston was blackballed after the 2nd Ali fight and the public was much less forgiving then.
