  • Your favorite boxing movies?

Not necessarily the best, but your favorites.

I love Rocky, Rocky II, Rocky III, Rocky IV, and Rocky Balboa.

    Rocky 5 was a bummer.

I also really like The Great White Hype (funny, spot-on boxing parody) and The Hurricane is one of my favorites too, even if there was all that controversy about the depiction of Carter's fight against Joey Giardello.

I've never enjoyed a boxing movie more than Erroll Flynn's "GENTLEMAN JIM"..... Great great movie..... Flynn's greatest movie by far....... also great fight scenes.... Flynn looks very handy in the ring.... Errol also had a real fistfight with a famous movie director..... a very unexpected name....... name that director ??????

          And of course, Raging Bull.

(and as an aside, LaMotta looked pretty bad to me at the IBHOF this year, not sure how long the old fella has left but I will say this for Jake, he was still signing autographs albeit slowly while Mike Tyson simply sat and refused to sign a thing, talk about not gettin it huh Mike?)

Raging Bull will always be my favorite, followed closely by Rocky.

Rocky Balboa was alright, but I hated the fight scene, the way it was shot and the concept that a fat old Rocky could last at all with the heavyweight champion. You want to give him a knockdown? Fine. But he should not have actually been competitive.

1 raging bull - great move and well done fight scenes and i was able to buy robert deniro as a fighter

2 rocky 1- not as cheesy as the others its a clasic and its motivational

3 the fighter- would be higher if markwhalberg wasnt in it
