Anybody know him? He was a hard hitting lightheavy who won world title from Gus Lesnevich in 1948. Had lost the first title fight with Lesnevich. Lost the title to Joey Maxim. He also fought Bruce Wood****, the best English heavyweight at the time and lost by KO14.
He later opened a nightclub and was friends with the Kray twins. Got shot in the head by an unknown and died.
