Fortunately for me, I'm covering live boxing in Worcester, MA tonight at the famous Mechanics Hall, it's the 400th live pro boxing card ever being held there and features an up and coming local kid (Edwin "Bomba" Rodriquez) versus another local kid (Chris Traietti) who also happens to be an Iraq War Vet. The female heavyweight fighter, Sonya, is fighting, and some former WBA champion I never heard of, Joachim Alcine. Should be a fun night: press pass, free food (hopefully) and free boxing. Siked!

The local scene is pretty decent and they also have big fights about an hour away at Mohegan Sun Casino in CT. It's been a great year to go from boxing fan to boxing writer/reporter. Boxing is my true passion and covering the sport has renewed my interest in a BIG way!
