    Trainer Trademarks

Trademarks a trainer has. What they're known for.

Angelo Dundee: Basic Combinations and fighters with
great jabs which they worked off of. In the corner: Pushing his msn to their limits.

Eddie Futch: Exploiting every nook and cranny of mistakes a fighter has. Arguable the greatest strategist in boxing history. In the Corner: Being the voice of all knowing reason.

I am exaggerating a bit with word choice, a little dramatic touch never hurt.

    What are your picks?

    Manny steward: The jab

I would say dundee was the king of teaching the perfect 1-2 combo ( ali and SRL had the best 1-2's ive seen )

Both were more or less finished products before Dundee began handling them. Dundee was a great cornerman, not really a trainer.

                  manny steward:
                  fighting tall and power punching

freddie roach: angles in and out
                  in and out motion
foot and handspeed are a must to fight his way. guys don't always sit on punches.

roger mayweather// floyd mayweather sr : adjusting
and toning a fight down through defensive prowess, counterpunching and clinching (pot shots)

george peterson (williams trainer) : not adjusting

Jack lowe : "Doubling and tripling that ****in jab!"

                  cus d'amato:
discipline and technicality. also history and building off of what other fighters had done in the past.

                  panama lewis :cheating

nacho berestein : classic and technical boxers with offensive tendencies. high left hand. his fighters fight with a rhythm. his style is perhaps the most pleasing on the eyes of any trainer i've seen

robert garcia works very well on helping a fighter implement his strengths and gameplan on a fight.
