  • Boxing history that you've only learned recently?

For me it was that Manny Steward won the Golden Gloves. I always thought that he'd had little/no boxing experience, amateur or pro, and that he'd only come into the sport on the coaching side of things.

Anyone else only recently learn something interesting that others have probably been long aware of?
