These are not necessarily the best fights per-se but the ones you remember the most vividly and fondly...
Hagler-Hearns This fight doesn't even need to be explained as to how great it was. I'd say it was the most furious short fight there was or will ever be...
Ali-Frazier III I believe this may be the best of the three just slightly edging out the first one in which a rusty Ali lost to Frazier. Ali was much better in this match but the only downside was Frazier was somewhat worse.
Chavez-Taylor Although JCC was perhaps my second-fave boxer ever(right behind Tyson,) I was actually rooting for Meldrick in this match as I was so impressed with his speed & skills that were so reminiscent of a prime Sugar Ray Leonard. It's unfortunate he was never the same fighter after this...
Tyson-Spinks I'd say this is the first "Big fight" I had watched with my whole life attached as I was a child of twelve and had just gathered interest in boxing and becoming a fan. No, it wasn't competitive by any means. I recall being truly in awe of Iron Mike Tyson as a boxer and having the privilege to witness him at his best made me thankful I was born in the year I was...
Hamed-Kelley The Prince was amazing in his prime! He'd always put on a great show in his grandiose song and dance ring-walk that were maybe even more entertaining than his KO's! This was by far the best fight I've ever seen him in and it ranks right up there with some of the all-time greats!!
Benn-McClellan Part of me didn't want to put this on the list as Gerald had given his health and almost his life for it. But, I think out of respect for that I guess I have no choice not to. This was one of the greatest fights you'll ever see. It's too bad it had a terrible ref that didn't stop it much sooner...
Tyson-Holyfield 2 Not cause of the bite but because of the great Hagler vs Hearns-like furious 3 rounds of action that preceded. I think if not for the shocking ending, it would have been even better than the first fight...
Hearns-Leonard 2 Though it was called a draw I'd thought that Tommy won this one decisively. It was a see-saw battle very much like the first fight. The only thing was this time Hearns was better prepared and more seasoned a fighter...
Pryor-Arguello Aaron Pryor was a phenom! Alexis Arguello was one of the greatest little men of all time and this man actually defeated him in two just incredible action-packed fights!! Too bad 15-round championship bouts are a thing of the past...
Barkely-Duran This took place on February 24, 1989 if my memory serves me well. It was on a big boxing weekend. I recall this being the day before Tyson-Bruno and there was a massive snowstorm that was in it's starting faze when I had walked home from school. The fight itself was a storm as I had my friends over and Roberto Duran turned back the clock and beat a tremendous and even bigger fighter than himself in Iran Barkely. It was a long one and a fight I'll never forget!
These are in no particular order as they were all astounding...
