YAY ....... from now on, ALL TITLE BOUT FIGHTS Have to have a cool Name... or they aren't official.... LOL....... And I think LES DARCY wants to fight another name MW..... he's a very confident young man... I found that when you have him in boxer mode instead of Slugger mode,, he is damn near invincible to all but the top guys,... but I think he should be up against Graziano next...... the toreador versus the Bull... so to speak.....

Murder In The Garden
Jerry Quarry vs Mike Weaver
Scheduled for 12 Rounds
This "Title Bout" DREAM fight was held at the historic Madison Square Garden in NY and featured perennial 70's heavyweight contender Jerry Quarry vs perennial 80's contender Mike Weaver. Dubbed "Murder in the Garden", this fight lived up to it's billing and featured multiple knockdowns, and buckets of blood from both guys.
The first three rounds were fought at a brisk, though even pace. Both guys were throwing bombs and looking for weakness in the other. Weaver was warned for headbutting in the 3rd, and fortunately the butt did not cause a cut to Quarry, who was a known bleeder throughout his career.
Action heated up in the 4th when Quarry dropped Weaver for a 3 count with a nice right cross to the head. A left hook later in the round hurt Weaver again and going into the 5th, Weaver looked susceptible to being knocked down.
Fortunately for Weaver, he weathered the storm but was stunned again in the 6th by a Quarry combination.
The 7th round is when the fight became a blood bath. Weaver was cut first, a bad gash over his left eye which immediately had an effect on his ability to see clearly. Later in the round, Weaver opened a nasty tear inside the mouth of Quarry with a vicious uppercut. By the end of the round, Weaver was also leaking blood from the nose.
Fatigue began to set in for Weaver in the 8th. In the 9th, the arm weary and tired Weaver was badly hurt by a right hook from Quarry that dropped him for a 9 count. A bloody Weaver somehow made it to his feet and just when it looked like his night was over, he somehow found Quarry with a halacious uppercut that sent Quarry to the canvas. Quarry was up by 4 but Weaver was just too dog tired to apply any follow up punches.
Going into the 10th, it was Weaver who was still suffering the effects of his fatigue and the knockdown in the previous round. But Quarry was starting to show signs of fatigue as well and in the 10th, Weaver made an absolute bloody mess of Quarry's mouth, making that gash inside of Quarry's mouth demonstrably worse.
With both fighters bleeding all over the place, Quarry won the last two rounds without much drama and held on to win a clear cut unanimous decision, though one judge had it much closer than the other two. Not sure what fight he was watching!
Result: Jerry Quarry W12 Mike Weaver
Scores: Judge 1: 114-112, Judge 2: 117-111, Judge 3: 117-112
All in favor of the winner by unanimous decision, Jerry Quarry!Last edited by fitefanSHO; 09-06-2011, 03:13 PM.

Frazier vs Carnera just got a bump up because Nuclear Fusion just had a meltdown. Turns out I don't have Wolgast in the game. I thought I did as just about every old time fighter like that is in the game, but turns out he isn't.
Unless McGoorty wants Duran against Midget Wolgast, the former Flyweight Champion? I got him.

Great...I will then get my results before McGoorty does...
And by the way if you have Lennox Lewis give him a go vs Carnera...
I will really like to give him a go...I doubt Lewis will spark him out as early as some say

dude, yes I second. Lewis vs Carnera would be ****ing great.
Also, I wasn't here to speak on it before, but the Frazier vs Marciano fight needs a bit of fact thrown it. Simply look up how much he has been recorded to put out, and the amount of PSI it takes to break the human skull. you answers will come to 80-90 psi per knuckle vs Rocco flirting with 130 psi. It is well, well, with the realm of possibility for Rocky to stop ANY fighter in all of history in the first round. It's never about how tough the opponent is with Rocky. It's how skilled are they?Last edited by Marchegiano; 09-07-2011, 08:05 AM.

Nuclear Fusion has been saved for McGoorty :grin9: I'll post the results in a separate thread so as not to clutter up fitefanSHO's thread with it :cool9:
