I always thought that Cotto looked at his absolute best early on in his career. After becoming successful it seems as if his footwork suffered, and he was not as crisp of a puncher. Watch his first fights, then watch his later fights and tell me if you see what I mean. When he was young he had it all. Crisp jab, phenomenal footwork (which is still very good and looked better against Yuri Foreman than it had in his previous fights as far as I'm concerned), and more movement. He just looks like he fought a lot harder and more focused.

Vs. Judah or Mosley. 2007 Cotto was a BEAST! Showed that he could dominate a lesser fighter and dig deep and in a war against an equal.

Cotto looked like a monster when he was going right through solid veterans like Randall Bailey and Cesar Bazan.

          best win: Mosley.
best performance: personally I always liked his showing against Quintana the most.

            zab judah in my eyes

that was his career in a nutshell and the night i think he looked the best. that's also the best zab judah i've ever seen

and cotto // margarito, at the time, even being a cotto fan through and through, was a game changer for me

i've never seen a fight turn in that nature. cotto just couldn't take those punches late in the fight
            not one of them
every punch was depleting him for good. you could see him losing it
and i honestly thought about all the great fighters that fell off immediately
            we later found out why
            he was never the same

and to his credit, margarito showed the best chin i've ever seen in a live prizefight
            he just kept coming
i couldn't believe what was going on

i havn't watched that fight in years and do not plan on it for quite some time

i cant get through more than a round past 7 or 8

              I would say Quintana, too.

His best from an entertainment perspective was definitely the Colombian...who was that again? They had a helluva war.

Ricardo Torres. That was an absolute scorcher. Cotto was almost out on his feet more than once in that one.

That's the one. Outstanding. He was clinical against Quintana though.

He looked at the peak of his abilities against Gomez. Right before the fall...
