Just a brilliant fight, and this is a really good version of the video. Thanks so much for posting it.

This is, to me, the best example of how a technically outstanding chessmatch can still be an exciting war. so much skill displayed in this fight. The last time I remember this kind of a two sided chess match war happening was Marquez-Barrera.

Toney was such a waste of talent. It honestly makes me sad to see how trim and in shape Toney is for this fight. Hes sooo much lighter on his feet...at his fat days he almost exclusively relied on being stationary and shoulder rolling, but hes the whole package here.

why couldnt that damn guy have taken training serously. he easily could have been an ATG.

he still could have been much more. Had he taken conditioning seriously his career would have gone a lot better.

How much better could his career have been? HOF, 2x FOY, 4 division champ although he never have the 1 mega $$$$ fight he has consistently made over 500k in all of his championship fights and still has most if not all of his money.

Well, he wouldnt have those losses to Griffin and Thadzi. and his should have been loss against Teberi wouldnt have been controversial either. And he certainly would have given Roy a harder fight, Im not sure if he would have won even if he had perfect weight management however.

incidently, Toney never was a HW titlist, since he got tested for steroids after the Ruiz fight. You can sort of count the win for him, but either way he was never considered the best at Heavyweight by any means, so its not like he was a real HW champ.

Toney had enough talent to be one of the most successful Light heavyweights and Cruiserweights of all time had he stayed in shape. Toney already had an excellent career, but it still did not live up to what it could have been.

oh and I dont think he has that much of his money saved up. Hes desperately trying to run around and cash out his name, and has been for about 4 years now, not even trying to train and still trying to get any big money fight he can get at this point.

I'm not sure what your beef is. He could've been greater, in spite of his accomplishments.
