Definitely. Guthrie was puffed up by HBO but he appeared to be the goods. Big, undefeated powerful lefty. And had some very solid performances prior to the upset loss to Reggie. The hype was to build him up as the opponent for Jones at 175 and he certainly looked like the blueprint of what would give Roy problems. Even in the loss to Johnson he looked very strong early on. Obviously, he wasn't was he was hyped up to be.
