I don't think this is a list put together by boxing experts - for more than the fact that there are way too many heavyweights. I didn't see much of the video - just the Larry Holmes part. Teddy Atlas is very knowledgeable and so is Kellerman - I don't think they had a hand in putting the list together.

Pretty awful, but that really seems more like a primer to the history of the sport than an actual list.

No it is not a list of a Hardcore Boxing fan or of a Boxing expert. But, you can make a case for any of those Legends to be on the list. Even though there are many deserving fighters, lets not forget about the significant empact on the sport that each of the aforementioned fighters had on the sport. So I think to call the list awful is stretching it a little bit much, as it does have fighters listed that the "casual fan" would not recognize.

Whoever came up with the list does seem obsessed with Heavyweights.

Strikes me as a list to attract casual boxing fans it seems more based on recognisability of the names then anything else, which probably accounts for the excess of HWs.

First of all it's not a p4p list, it's a "greatest boxers of all time" list which uses different criteria. But even then there are some funny things such as Roy Jones being ahead of roberto Duran. Rocky Marciano dosen't belong in the top 4.

It's not just the Heavies who stand out. Guys like Chavez & Hagler are present, but Greb & Langford are missing?

This is not the list of an expert. No, Sir.
