    Great guy, great fighter.
I watch all his fights. He came and spoke at my highschool in the early 90s. I forgot about Max Baer I may add him in, I have been watching more of him lately and he is great to watch.

The fact he helped pay for Louis' funeral says something about the man also.
Just surprising, never really heard anyone saying they were a huge fan before thats all

Alot of these lists are a tad surprising actually, nice insight.

I'd agree with the idea that fights should be seen and not read when possible, but some guys you have to read about or simply deny yourself a legend. I know who in my list there is no footage of, and I stand by them. Almost any fight of note was covered by a newspaper, and any fighter of worth has a book. You get second hand experience, but second hand Langford..Sullivan. Its thrilling stuff. Honestly, the fisticuffs era is my favorite of all time. Bare Knuckle. I read today on another post referring to it as "fencing with fists". that's probably the most to-the-point name I've come across. Some times simply prizefighting. Read that **** man.
