  • Best single wins

What are some of the best wins of all time? take into consideration the fighter's prime, size differential, etc. all of the above.

Duran beating Leonard is one of the quickest that comes to mind...prime or near prime Leonard, Duran originally a lightweight, Leonard is arguably the second best welterweight ever...

    Douglas- Tyson
    Ali-Foreman
    Ali-Frazier 1
    Duran-leonard 1

Are a few that come to mind

many fancied Duran to defeat Leonard with the betting odds suggesting a 50/50 pick-em fight, Duran had the greatest corner assembled of almost any fighter in history of Ray Arcel & Freddie Brown with Duran being at his ultimate prime and Leonard just about reaching his prime.

Tommy Hearns squashing Pipino Cuevas like a bug was one of the most impressive wins I've ever seen. A longer lasting one would be Chavez winning the lightweight title over Rosario. Both brilliant performances.

Ali was not in his prime for FOTC (In my opinion) nor, was Liston in Ali I.

Schmeling vs Louis albeit a green Louis still an excellent win for an ageing fighter.

                Hearns vs Virgil Hill.

Ali was only 22 when he faced Liston and was a huge underdog. I think Ali hit his peak at 1967. Liston had just knocked out Floyd Patterson twice.

                  A great victory for Ali.

Liston was around 33 though seeing no-one knows his real age. Patterson is a good win Liston was coming off I agree with you but, I think with that kind of fight no other outcome was viable.

I agree it was a great win just not up there with the others mentioned in my opinion.
