this is foreman all the way as cus damato said - no man in history stands toe to toe with foreman and comes out on top - ok thats not the exact quote but it was something along those lines. Liston has just got the wrong style to beat foreman ... for example somebody like larry holmes would do very well against foreman due to his movement ... somebody like rocky m would be destroyed. Liston doesn't have the movement to beat george - its all about the styles.

D'Amato was talking about swarmers, such as Dempsey, & Frazier. That wasn't Liston, & Liston's style wasn't what D'Amato had in mind when he said what he did.

Man, this would be like two tractor trailers playing chicken but no chickening out just going head on! Wow, this would have been insane. This is the kind of heavyweight all out nuclear holocaust we have been waiting to happen for decades. To seemingly invincible power punchers with solid chins going back and forth.

I think it would be all we would hope for 3-4 rounds. Then I think Foreman starts dropping him violently like Frazier but knocks him unconscious. This would be the heavyweight version of Hagler-Hearns IMO.
